Stone Hill Winery - Branson

Historic winery with restored 1800s buildings and rich heritage

Best known for: Award-winning Norton wines

Stone Hill Winery, established in 1847, is Missouri's oldest and most awarded winery.

It has a storied history that includes overcoming the challenges of Prohibition and World War I, which forced the original owners to shutter the winery and destroy the vineyards.

In 1965, Jim and Betty Held revitalized the winery, restoring its historic buildings and producing high-quality wines.

The winery has since gained national recognition, with its Norton grape being hailed as a potential flagship for Missouri wine.

Today, under the ownership of Jon and Karen Held, Stone Hill Winery continues to produce award-winning wines and remains committed to its heritage and the future of winemaking in Missouri.
