Canard Vineyard
Historic estate with century-old vines and sustainable practices
Best known for: Hand-crafted wines in Napa Valley
Canard Vineyard, located in the historic Napa Valley, has been creating hand-crafted wines since 1984.
The estate spans twenty-five acres and is known for its unique terroir, producing nine single vineyard wines each year.
The vineyard's history dates back to the original homestead of Reason P. Tucker, who was notable for his role in rescuing survivors of the Donner Party.
The property features Zinfandel vines that are over 140 years old, alongside meticulously cared-for plantings of Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, and Cabernet Sauvignon.
The vineyard practices emphasize sustainability and quality, resulting in wines that reflect the harmony between man and nature.
Rich and Carolyn Czapleski, who purchased the vineyard in 1983, have dedicated themselves to nurturing the land and producing wines of distinction with the help of a talented team.
