Water Canyon Winery - Springdale

Southern Utah natural wines at Water Canyon Winery’s walk-in Springdale tasting room outside Zion National Park

Best known for: Natural wines without added sulfites, preservatives, or enzymes

Water Canyon Winery’s Springdale, Utah, tasting room brings Southern Utah natural wines to Zion Park Boulevard, just outside Zion National Park. Winemakers Shane and Kalie Tooke make their wines in nearby Hildale without added sulfites, preservatives, or enzymes. The family-owned operation keeps the focus on minimal intervention rather than cellar additions. Springdale is its second tasting room, not its production site: the distinction matters for travelers choosing between a tasting near Zion and a visit to the vineyard in Hildale.

At 1066 Zion Park Boulevard, the Springdale location makes sense as an after-hike stop rather than a full winery excursion. Tastings are walk-in only, with no reservation needed, and the room opens daily from 3 to 8 p.m. A $25 flight covers four wines totaling 5.5 ounces. A $20 charcuterie board serves up to two, with cheese, cured meats, fresh fruit, nuts, crackers, and a sweet bite. Bottles are available to take home. The appeal here is straightforward: a chance to try locally made wine without adding a separate vineyard drive to a Zion itinerary.
