Texas Wine Collective

Three Texas wineries sharing one Fredericksburg tasting destination on the Hill Country’s Highway 290

Best known for: Texas-grown wines from three producers, plus Texas ciders

Texas Wine Collective in Fredericksburg, Texas, brings Brennan Vineyards, Lost Oak Winery, and McPherson Cellars together at one Texas Hill Country tasting destination. Its strength is comparison: visitors can explore three producers without moving the car. The project traces its roots to Pat Brennan, Gene Estes, and a circle of family and friends, with a 2010 launch as 4.0 Cellars. Today, the focus stretches beyond the surrounding hills, including McPherson Cellars wines made exclusively from Texas High Plains grapes.

Dry and sweet wines share space with Texas-made hard ciders from City Orchard, Moontower, and Texas Keeper. A standard tasting covers five wines or ciders for $30. Food pairings give the visit more direction: the $40 Texas Cheese & Wine Experience matches five Texas cheeses with five dry white and red wines. For a smaller gathering, Hidden Pour offers reservation-only tastings for two to eight guests, featuring rare and library wines—older bottles held back from regular release—with snacks for $55 per person.

The modern farm-style property has shaded porches, umbrella-covered picnic tables, and a covered pavilion with a giant fan. Children and dogs are welcome, and Cork & Fork Mobile Kitchen serves food Friday through Sunday. Walk-ins are welcome; reservations are strongly recommended for groups of six or more.
