T2 Cellar
Family-run Seattle urban winery making small-lot Rhône blends and Washington vineyard-designated reds since 2016
Best known for: Small-lot Rhône-style blends and Washington vineyard-designated reds
T2 Cellar brings small-lot Washington winemaking to Seattle’s SODO neighborhood, with Rhône-style blends at the center of a reasonably priced range. Winemakers Anne Stevens and Todd Threlkeld run this family operation, which traces its roots to garage winemaking in West Seattle. They handle production from grapes to finished bottles, with many releases measured in just a few dozen cases.
Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre anchor the reds, while Roussanne and Marsanne supply the Rhône-style whites. The 2024 Asterales combines roughly equal parts Roussanne and Marsanne from Sustainable WA-certified Angiolina Farm, with fermentation and aging in barrel. The 2021 Columbia Valley Syrah earns Double Gold at the 2025 Savor NW Wine Awards. There is continuity beyond the Rhône varieties, too: the Malbec comes from the same rows of the same block at Gamache Vineyard each vintage since 2016. Most bottles fall between $22 and $34, making exploration relatively easy on the wallet.
The industrial-style tasting room at 2960 4th Avenue South, Suite 109, offers rotating flights, glass pours, and bottles to take home. Small-group private tastings are available by appointment. For a different finish, the tasting-room-only Starboard Solera IV blends Touriga Nacional, Mourvèdre, and Grenache into a port-style wine suited to chocolate dessert.
