Enoch’s Tyler
Tyler, Texas wine and coffee house with eight exclusive wines made at Enoch’s Stomp in Harleton
Best known for: Exclusive Tyler Series wines spanning dry blends and sweet muscadine
Enoch’s Tyler in Tyler, Texas, combines a wine and coffee house with Enoch’s Chomp restaurant—not a vineyard visit, but a town stop with reasons to linger over lunch or dinner. Its eight-wine Tyler Series is available exclusively here, spanning dry reds, whites, rosé and sweeter options. All winemaking takes place at Enoch’s Stomp Vineyard & Winery in Harleton, Texas.
That production connection reaches back to 2004, with founders Altus Koegelenberg, a fifth-generation South African grape farmer, and winemaker Jon Kral. Enoch’s Stomp maintains 12 acres of estate vines and also works with grapes and juice from elsewhere. The sourcing matters: Tyler Gold blends Texas Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah, while Tyler Platinum combines Texas and Washington Cabernet Sauvignon. Washington fruit also supplies the Chardonnay, Pinot Gris and Sauvignon Blanc. For something more distinctly local, Tyler Select uses locally grown muscadine grapes in a sweet wine.
The covered patio and indoor art room offer different settings for a meal. Chef Matt Hamilton’s scratch-made menu, overseen by kitchen director Daniel Metivier, covers burgers, wood-fired pizzas, bowls and seasonal salads. Head roaster Preston Neal roasts coffee on the property, giving mixed groups a reason to stop even when wine isn’t everyone’s priority. Enoch’s Tyler opens Monday through Saturday until 9 p.m.; the restaurant serves from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
