Benedetto Vineyards
Gamay Noir roots southeast of Salem, with a vineyard tasting room outside Dallas, Oregon
Best known for: Gamay Noir and Gamay–Pinot Noir blends
Benedetto Vineyards pairs a Gamay Noir focus with a tasting room at its Dallas Vineyard just outside Dallas, Oregon. Its roots trace to 2017 and the planting of Gamay Noir at Shipman Vineyard, southeast of Salem. The Dallas property adds mature Pinot Noir and Chardonnay vines to the picture, giving Benedetto two vineyard locations rather than a single home base. Gamay remains a reason to pay attention here: the wines include a 2024 Gamay Noir and a 2024 Reserve Gamay Pinot Noir, alongside a 2023 Pinot Gris and a 2024 Barrel Select Pommard Pinot Noir.
The tasting room sits at 14020 Orchard Knob Road, where wine shares the calendar with free live music, food events, and community fundraisers. Wine-Oh-Wednesday brings half-price glasses of selected wines, while Fire Pit Friday adds soup, with a price break for wine club members and their guests. For travelers, the distinction is useful: this is a vineyard stop with reasons to linger beyond a tasting, particularly when an event is on.
