The Fennville American Viticultural Area (AVA), established in 1981, is contained within the larger Lake Michigan Shore AVA. Fennville’s climate is moderated by its proximity to Lake Michigan, and the region has unique glacial, sandy soils. The limited number of Fennville wineries all provide wine tasting opportunities.
