Teutonic Wine Company
High-elevation vineyards with traditional fermentation techniques
Best known for: German-inspired Rieslings and unique blends
Teutonic Wines was founded by Barnaby and Olga Tuttle, who started their winemaking journey with no prior experience in the industry. Inspired by tasting a variety of Rieslings from the Middle Mosel, Barnaby decided to pursue winemaking himself.
The winery was established in Alsea, Oregon, in 2005. Since then, they have cultivated a range of varietals, including Riesling, Pinot Noir, and Gewürztraminer.
They focus on dry-farmed, high-elevation vineyards to produce wines that are complex and full of flavor. Teutonic Wines is also known for its commitment to using wild yeast and traditional fermentation techniques, which help create food-friendly wines.
The winery offers private tastings and has gained recognition on top restaurant wine lists across the country. Their wines are known for being high-quality and competitively priced.
