OG Cellars
North Texas winery using exclusively Texas grapes, with a Sunset vineyard setting and Wichita Falls tasting room
Best known for: Dry and sweet wines from 100% Texas grapes
OG Cellars is a family-owned winery in Sunset, Texas, pairing wines made entirely from Texas grapes with two distinctly different places to drink them. The winery’s roots date to fall 2016 in the rolling hills of northwest Wise County. Its range spans dry reds and whites through semi-sweet and sweet wines, giving mixed-preference groups room to find common ground without everyone having to order the same style.
The Sunset winery and vineyard is the choice for wide-open views, wood-fired pizza and live music. OG Cellars on the Plaza trades the country setting for an art-deco tasting room and tapas bar in Century Plaza in Wichita Falls, Texas. Tapas and charcuterie anchor the food options there, while cider, specialty cocktails and frozen drinks broaden the choices beyond wine.
The Wichita Falls location runs Tuesday through Saturday evenings, with Friday and Saturday hours extending to 11 p.m. Live music and occasional karaoke make it as much an evening-out destination as a tasting stop; Tuesday game nights support local charities. The useful distinction is setting: Sunset offers the vineyard backdrop, while Wichita Falls puts wine, small plates and entertainment together in town.
Tasting Hours
