State Street tasting room pairing Longoria’s Santa Barbara County wines with patio flights and live music

Best known for: Santa Barbara County Pinot Noir and Spanish varieties

Longoria Wines’ Santa Barbara Tasting Room at 732 State Street brings a Santa Barbara County wine name with roots in 1982 into downtown Santa Barbara, California. This is the city stop, not the production winery in Lompoc: a place for a tasting flight on the patio, Matinee Rosé by the glass, or a bottle of Blues Cuvée at the bar between shopping and dinner.

Rick and Diana Longoria’s founding vision centers on wines from vineyards across Santa Barbara County. Owners Brooke and Lindsey Christian carry that family-run identity forward under their stewardship, which begins in 2022. Winemaker Eric Wilson, a Lompoc native and Rick Longoria’s former protégé, leads production. Pinot Noir anchors the selection, alongside whites, rosé, Spanish grape varieties, and other reds—enough range to give a mixed-preference group something to explore.

The State Street location makes particular sense for travelers who want wine tasting without a separate drive into wine country. It opens daily, with evening hours Thursday through Saturday. Friday karaoke adds a livelier option, while Sunday sessions feature local singer-songwriters from 3–5 p.m., with glass specials and both walk-ins and reservations welcome.
