Deerfoot Vineyards and Winery - Downtown Lancaster Tasting Room

Downtown Lancaster tasting room pouring small-production Pennsylvania wines, from estate Cabernet Franc to sweet sparkling Cayuga

Best known for: Estate Cabernet Franc and sweet Cayuga White wines

Deerfoot Downtown Lancaster Tasting Room & Bottle Shop brings Deerfoot Vineyards and Winery’s small-production wines to 348 N. Queen Street in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. This is the city outpost, not the vineyard: the family winery operates on a third-generation farm in Berks County and produces about 550 cases annually. Winemaker Dan Brown and co-owner Dr. Jaime Linn Brown lead the business, which dates to 2014; certified wine professional Phil manages the Lancaster tasting room.

The range gives dry-wine drinkers and sweet-wine fans equal reason to stop. Six Point is an estate-grown Cabernet Franc, while Dry Riesling finishes without residual sweetness. On the sweeter side, Country Red blends Concord and Riesling, and Blanc de Blancs uses Cayuga White for a sparkling wine with Double Gold and Best in Show honors in the sparkling category at the 2026 Pennsylvania Farm Show. Availability rotates, so a particular bottle is not guaranteed.

Five-dollar tastings cover up to 15 wines, with glasses and bottles also available. The Friday-through-Sunday schedule extends into the evening, making this a practical stop during a downtown weekend. Dogs are welcome, and guests can bring North Queen Street takeout; the tasting room serves no food. Groups of six or more have an advance reservation option. The Lancaster location is not currently wheelchair accessible; accommodation inquiries go to 717-809-4529.
