Christine's Vineyard - Vino Noir

Downtown Joplin wine and cocktail bar pairing Christine’s Vineyard wines with pizza and Latin dance nights

Best known for: Missouri Norton reds with American and French oak

Vino Noir brings Christine’s Vineyard to downtown Joplin, Missouri, as a wine and cocktail bar rather than a vineyard tasting room. At 530 South Main Street, the format is simple: guests order at the bar and settle in, with no reservations required. Charcuterie, thin-crust pizza, seasonal cocktails, and beer make this a useful stop for a group whose interests extend beyond wine.

Christine’s Vineyard, owned by Ben and Janette Cade, anchors the wine selection alongside fellow Missouri producers Eagles’ Landing and Pennington Wines. Christine’s range stretches from sweet wines to dry Norton reds: Midnight Stroll uses Missouri-grown Norton grapes, while 4 Aces receives American oak aging and Royal Flush receives French oak aging. That gives the wine list a Missouri focus without making the evening a single-producer affair.

Vino Noir opens at 5 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, closing at 10 p.m. Thursday and 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Latin dance nights with DJ Oso add a reason to linger beyond a glass and a pizza. For celebrations, the Vino Noir Social Club provides a separate event space inside the bar, with four-hour rentals and outside food permitted.
