Cherry Creek - Old Schoolhouse
Historic family-owned winery with scenic vineyard and community events
Best known for: Handcrafted Michigan wines and hard cider
Cherry Creek Cellars is located in the scenic Irish Hills of Michigan and has been a family-owned winery for over 100 years. It was founded in 2003 by John and Denise Burtka and has become a popular spot for wine lovers.
The winery offers a wide range of wines, including Old World style wines, sweet table wines, and award-winning hard ciders made from locally sourced apples. They also have a café that serves fresh, seasonal dishes to enhance the visitor experience.
Under the guidance of winemaker Patrick Spensley, Cherry Creek Cellars focuses on quality and local sourcing. They use grapes from their own estate vineyard and also work with other Michigan growers.
In addition to wine tasting, the winery hosts various community events like yoga classes, book clubs, and live music performances.
