Bold & Delaney Winery
Southern Utah winery pairing Dammeron Valley estate grapes with California fruit and unoaked whites
Best known for: Dammeron Valley estate blends and stainless-steel-aged white wines
Bold & Delaney Winery in Dammeron Valley, Utah, gives Southern Utah wine travelers a reason to look beyond California grapes. Its home vineyard, Dammeron Valley Vineyards, dates to a five-acre planting in 2014 and now extends across adjacent parcels. Between the Veyo and Santa Clara volcanoes, the vineyard benefits from elevation that keeps temperatures roughly 8–10 degrees cooler than nearby St. George, with summer evenings dropping into the 60s.
The most revealing bottles connect directly to that vineyard. Honey Bee is an estate-bottled blend of equal parts Sémillon and Muscat; DeVioja combines estate Grenache and Tempranillo, with limited supplies often reserved for wine club members. The range extends well beyond estate fruit: Dammerhone blends Dammeron Valley Grenache with Syrah and Mourvèdre from Paso Robles, California. White wines age in stainless steel without oak, while the 2023 Reserve Pinot Noir spends two years in new French oak—twice the usual barrel time for the estate Pinot Noir.
Tastings take place by appointment Tuesday through Sunday, between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. A standard tasting costs $25 per person, with a premium option at $30. Charcuterie plates cost $30, and vegetarian and vegan options are available. The tasting room is at 1315 North Horsemans Park Drive.
