Altillo Vineyards and Winery, formerly known as Altavista Vineyards and Winery, is located four miles south of Altavista, Virginia, in Pittsylvania County.
The winery is easily accessible from Danville, Roanoke, Smith Mountain Lake, and Lynchburg, Virginia.
They focus on custom crush, custom winemaking, and consulting services for winery start-ups.
Retail bottle sales are available by appointment, and the winery has received accolades for its Merlot, Shiraz, Cabernet Franc, and Chardonnay at the Governor's Cup Wine Competitions in 2012 and 2013.
Visitors are encouraged to call ahead to schedule an appointment, as the winery operates by appointment only.
