Albini Family Vineyards
Artisan winery with handcrafted, small-batch wines
Best known for: High quality Merlot and Zinfandel wines
Established in 1991, Albini Family Vineyards is a small winery located in Windsor, California. They produce about 500 cases of handmade wine each year.
The winery is known for its artisan style of winemaking, focusing on a natural, hands-on approach. They have low vineyard yields of 2 to 3 tons per acre, and all grapes are handpicked and carefully sorted to ensure top quality.
Fermentation takes place in small, open-top fermenters using indigenous yeast. The wines are then aged in a mix of French and American oak barrels. Their Merlot is aged for 20 months, while the Zinfandel spends 18 to 20 months in barrel.
Both wines are unfiltered and hand-bottled right at the estate. Albini Family Vineyards prides itself on quality and craftsmanship, which has helped attract attention on a national level.
