The McDowell Valley is located about two miles east of Hopland. McDowell Valley’s warm climate has proven ideal for growing Rhone varieties such as Syrah, Grenache, Marsanne and Viognier. In addition to McDowell Valley’s only resident winery, McDowell Valley Vineyards, Copain and A Donkey & Goat use McDowell Valley Syrah to produce highly rated wines.
