Tonti Family Wines was founded by Peter Tonti, continuing a family tradition of winemaking that started in the 1940s. Peter's love for wine began in childhood, watching his father, an Italian immigrant, make wine in their basement in Columbus, Ohio.
After a brief retirement, Peter decided to pursue his dream of producing wine to share with others. The winery is now located in Sonoma County, California, in the Russian River Valley. This region offers the ideal climate and soil conditions for growing grapes.
The vineyard mainly produces Old Vine Zinfandel, along with some Cabernet Sauvignon. Visitors can enjoy stunning views of the surrounding landscape, including Mount St. Helena and the Pacific Ocean. The climate here features warm days and cool nights, which helps ensure the grapes develop exceptional flavor and quality.
