Summit Lake Vineyards and Winery, located in Angwin, California, has been a family-owned and operated establishment since 1971. Situated on the top of Howell Mountain in Napa Valley, the winery is celebrated for its exceptional wines, particularly its Cabernet Sauvignon and Petite Sirah.
The vineyard's history began when Bob Brakesman purchased the estate, which was originally planted with a pre-prohibition field blend of Italian varietals, Petite Sirah, Carignan, and Zinfandel. The first public release was a Zinfandel in 1985.
Today, the winery produces limited quantities of high-quality wines that reflect the unique terroir of Howell Mountain. With a focus on quality and craftsmanship, Summit Lake Vineyards continues to honor its legacy while crafting wines that celebrate the rich history of the region.
