Storybook Mountain Vineyards
Historic wine caves with mountain vistas
Best known for: Award-winning Zinfandels and Cabernet Sauvignons from organically farmed grapes
Storybook Mountain Vineyards is situated at the top of Napa Valley, on the eastern slope of the Mayacamas Mountain Range. It’s known for producing award-winning wines made from estate-grown grapes that are farmed organically.
The winery has a long history, dating back to 1883, and features historic wine caves that are over 130 years old. These caves offer a perfect environment for aging wines.
In 1976, Jerry and Sigrid Seps revitalized the vineyard, turning it into a family-run operation. Their daughter Colleen and her husband Rick have continued to carry on the legacy.
Storybook Mountain is often ranked among the top wineries worldwide and has earned praise from critics like Robert Parker, especially for its world-class Zinfandels.
Visitors can learn more about the vineyard through guided tours and tastings, which are available by appointment.
