Sol Rouge
Vineyard in volcanic soils with sustainable, non-interventionist winemaking
Best known for: High-quality wines from volcanic soils and sustainable practices
Sol Rouge is a distinguished winery situated in the Red Hills Appellation of Lake County, California. Founded by Jill and Bryan, the winery was born from a dream to create a world-class estate vineyard.
The 70-acre estate was once an abandoned walnut orchard and has since been transformed into a thriving vineyard. It benefits from rich, red volcanic soils and high elevation, which contribute to the character of the wines.
Sol Rouge is committed to sustainable practices and employs a non-interventionist approach to winemaking, allowing the unique characteristics of the vineyard to shine through in each bottle.
The winery has gained recognition for its high-quality wines, including several that have been featured among the top 100 wines of the year.
With a focus on both Rhone varietals and Cabernet Sauvignon, Sol Rouge continues to produce wines that reflect the distinct terroir of the area.
