Skywalker Vineyards was founded by filmmaker George Lucas and has been around for about twenty years. It's located at Skywalker Ranch and has roots in Lucas’s childhood in Modesto, California, where he grew up surrounded by vineyards.
Inspired by his friend Francis Ford Coppola's success in winemaking, Lucas started his own wine journey by planting 4 acres of vineyard in 1991. Over time, this has grown to 28 acres of premium fruit in Marin County.
The winery is committed to making distinctive wines that meet Lucas’s high standards, despite the challenges presented by West Marin’s unpredictable climate.
With Winemaker Scott McLeod at the helm, Skywalker Vineyards has become known for its perseverance and innovation in the world of winemaking.
