Romano Vineyard and Winery
Family-owned farm with a legacy of fine Maryland wines
Best known for: Quality wines from Maryland grapes
Founded in 2007 by Joseph and Jo-Ann Romano, Romano Vineyard and Winery started out as a family farm primarily focused on beekeeping and honey production.
The couple decided to switch to winemaking after discovering the fertile soils of Prince George's County. They planted their first grapes in 2007, and by 2010, they began producing wine commercially.
The winery is known for its commitment to quality, producing varietals like Chambourcin, Barbera, Vidal, Cayuga, and Traminette.
Although Romano Vineyard and Winery closed to the public on June 24, 2023, it leaves behind a legacy of fine wines enjoyed by many over the years.
