Reid Family Cellars
Historic barn and sustainable vineyard practices
Best known for: Handcrafted wines from Napa Valley grapes
Founded in 1992, Reid Family Vineyards is located in the foothills of Mt. Veeder, north of the Carneros region in Napa Valley. The estate was originally homesteaded in 1880 as a prune ranch, and you can still see the original barn, which offers a glimpse into its rich history.
The winery produces around 1,000 cases of wine each year, made from the finest Napa Valley grapes. They use a mix of French and American oak barrels for aging.
The vineyard grows a variety of grapes, including cabernet sauvignon, cabernet franc, merlot, syrah, petite sirah, and viognier. All of these are cultivated using sustainable farming techniques.
Reid Family Vineyards combines California history with traditional French chateau aesthetics and green technology, making it a really interesting spot for wine lovers.
They also offer a 'Bottle Your Own Barrel' experience, where guests can get hands-on and participate in the winemaking process.
