Red Heifer Winery was established in 2012 by Kevin Ford and his wife Yvonne. It is located on the historic grounds of the former Naylor Peach Orchard.
The winery's name comes from a memorable negotiation involving a lone red heifer during the purchase of the farm.
The Fords started their winemaking journey by planting their first vines in 2010. Today, the winery spans 56 acres, where they grow a variety of grapes.
The wines produced here have received many awards, including medals at the Comptroller Cup and Governor Cup competitions.
Red Heifer Winery is a member of the Maryland Wineries Association and part of the Antietam Highlands Wine Trail. Visitors can enjoy a welcoming experience in a scenic setting.
