Pudding River Wine Cellars

Historic farmstead with scenic river views and green picnic spaces

Best known for: Boutique winery in Oregon's Willamette Valley

Pudding River Wine Cellars was established in 2004 and is located in the beautiful east Willamette Valley, near the foothills of the Cascade Mountains. The winery was once a poultry farm and sits along the banks of the Pudding River, a 62-mile-long tributary that comes from the Cascade Range.

The winery’s first commercial vintage was produced in 2006. Since then, it has gained recognition for its efforts to produce high-quality wines in the classic Oregon style, using sustainable methods. The tasting room is open to visitors from Friday to Sunday, and by appointment during the week. It offers a cozy atmosphere with a patio and green space perfect for picnics.

Owner and winemaker Sean Allen, who switched from a career in mechanical engineering to winemaking, applies a scientific approach to the craft. This helps ensure quality throughout every step, from grape growing to bottling.

Tasting Hours

Friday-Sunday 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm, Tuesday through Thursday by appointment only. Open seasonally, February through December. Closed January.
