Poocham Hill Winery
Historic vineyard with ancient soils and rich winemaking heritage
Best known for: Handcrafted wines from own vineyard
Poocham Hill Winery is located in the picturesque southwestern region of New Hampshire. It was known for its unique handcrafted wines made from grapes grown in its own vineyard.
The winery has a historic background, with roots tracing back to the early 1800s. It is situated on land enriched by ancient soils from Lake Hitchcock.
Poocham Hill specialized in cold-hardy grape varietals such as Frontenac, Seyval, LaCrosse, St. Croix, and Marquette. These grapes were carefully harvested and fermented to preserve their distinct character.
Although the winery recently closed, its wines can still be found at select NH State Liquor Stores and local markets, so wine enthusiasts can continue to enjoy their offerings.
