Best known for: Sustainable viticulture and exceptional Pinot Noir
Ponzi Vineyards was founded by Dick and Nancy Ponzi in the late 1960s and has become a recognized name in Oregon's wine scene. Located in the scenic Laurelwood District AVA, the winery farms nearly 150 acres using sustainable practices.
The vineyards are planted in the Laurelwood soil series, known for giving wines a distinctive sense of elegance and complexity. Ponzi Vineyards is certified as LIVE Certified Sustainable, which reflects their commitment to environmentally responsible farming methods.
The winery's focus on quality and tradition is evident in its diverse range of wines, especially Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. These wines are crafted to highlight the unique characteristics of the Laurelwood soil.
In 2021, Ponzi Vineyards was acquired by Groupe Bollinger, marking its first property outside of France and allowing it to continue its legacy of producing high-quality wines.
