Paratus Vineyards
Steep hillside estate with volcanic soils and dry-farming practices
Best known for: Exceptional Cabernet Sauvignon from Mount Veeder
Paratus Vineyards is situated on the steep hillsides of Mount Veeder. It was founded based on Rob Jennings' vision for creating a family-oriented vineyard.
The vineyard is known for its high elevation, thin volcanic soils, and its commitment to dry-farming practices. Since its first release in 2007, Paratus has earned recognition for producing limited quantities of Cabernet Sauvignon, which is celebrated for its deep flavors and velvety textures.
Paratus Vineyards spans 12 acres and is managed by Mark Oberschulte. The vineyard’s rare dry-farming method helps enhance the intensity of the grapes.
The winery is dedicated to making superior wines that reflect the unique qualities of its terroir, making it a notable name in Napa Valley.
