Founded in 1980, Owl Creek Vineyard was the first commercial winegrape vineyard in what would later become the Shawnee Hills AVA. Located in Cobden, Illinois, the vineyard specializes in producing high-quality wines and ciders from locally sourced grapes, ensuring each bottle reflects the unique terroir of Southern Illinois.

The vineyard offers a welcoming atmosphere with a variety of tasting experiences, including self-guided flights of wines, sangrias, and ciders. Visitors can enjoy live music on weekends and a café offering a selection of food.

Owl Creek Vineyard is part of both the Shawnee Hills Wine Trail and the Southern Illinois Beer Trail, making it a popular destination for those exploring local libations.
