One Woman Wines & Vineyards, located in Southold, New York, is the labor of love of Claudia Purita, who has dedicated herself to sustainable and self-reliant winemaking.

Growing up on a family farm in Calabria, Italy, Claudia learned the importance of the land and its produce from a young age. After moving to Long Island and working in the restaurant industry, she returned to her roots by purchasing a former potato and melon farm in 2001.

Claudia meticulously hand-planted the vineyard and renovated the property into a winery, ensuring that each vine receives her exacting care. The winery is committed to sustainability, avoiding herbicides and harsh pesticides, and is a proud member of the Long Island Sustainable Winegrowers Association.

The tasting room, open daily except Tuesdays, offers a cozy atmosphere for visitors to enjoy the fruits of Claudia's labor, showcasing the exceptional quality of her wines. Guests can enjoy the serene surroundings of the vineyard, with a welcoming outdoor space for dogs.
