Nottely River Valley Vineyards, LLC is a family-owned and operated vineyard and winery located in Murphy, North Carolina.
Established in 2008, the vineyard occupies 10 acres of a 93-acre farm that has been in the family since 1820.
Known for its picturesque setting and quality wines, the vineyard features high-density plantings of various grape varieties, including Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Primitivo, Pinot Gris, Riesling, and several French hybrids.
The winery uses viticulture practices such as leaf pruning and cluster thinning to ensure high-quality fruit for wine production.
With a below-ground gravity flow design and geo-thermal cooling in the cellar, Nottely River Valley Vineyards emphasizes minimal intervention in the winemaking process, aiming to create wines reminiscent of the 'Old World Style, Hand-Crafted' wines of Europe.
The vineyard is currently closed for the season, with plans to reopen on April 25, 2025. Visitors can schedule appointments to purchase bottles during the off-season.
