Historic roots in American winemaking tradition

Best known for: Pioneering the Chambourcin grape in America

Naylor Wine Cellars was founded in 1978 by Richard and Audrey Naylor and played an important role in the Pennsylvania wine scene. The winery was located in Stewartstown and was known for its focus on quality winemaking. They were also pioneers in cultivating the Chambourcin grape in the United States.

Over the years, the Naylors traveled extensively to learn more about winemaking, which helped contribute to their success. After Richard Naylor passed away in 2018, the winery closed its doors in August 2019, ending its operations in York County.

Although the winery is no longer open, the Naylor family continues to distribute wine and sell wine packaging products, keeping the legacy of Naylor Wine Cellars alive.
