McIntyre Vineyards

Sustainable estate with historic vines and scenic outdoor tastings

Best known for: Exceptional Pinot Noir and Chardonnay wines

McIntyre Vineyards is located in the heart of Monterey County's Santa Lucia Highlands AVA and is known for its excellent Pinot Noir and Chardonnay wines. Established in 1973, the estate spans 80 acres, with some of the oldest vines in the region, though currently 60 acres are planted.

The winery is managed by Steve McIntyre, a well-respected viticulturist who oversees 16,000 acres in Monterey County. McIntyre Vineyards was among the first in the Santa Lucia Highlands to earn SIP (Sustainability In Practice) Certification, demonstrating its dedication to sustainable farming practices.

The unique climate of the area, which includes morning fog and strong winds, creates perfect conditions for growing grapes. Visitors can enjoy tastings at the winery's location in Carmel Valley Village. The tasting room features an outdoor patio and offers a selection of award-winning wines.
