McGrail Vineyards

McGrail Vineyards, located in the Livermore Valley, is a family-owned winery known for its excellent Cabernet Sauvignon. It was established in 1999 by Jim and Ginger McGrail. The winery started by selling grapes before expanding into producing award-winning wines.

The vineyard benefits from a unique climate that features morning fog and afternoon sun, which helps in growing high-quality grapes. The winery's tasting room opened in April 2008 and offers a friendly atmosphere where visitors can enjoy small lot wines and beautiful views of the valley.

Under the guidance of winemaker Mark Clarin, McGrail Vineyards has earned several accolades, including the title of Best Red Wine in the United States at the SF Chronicle Wine Competition in 2012. The McGrail family continues to build on their legacy and expand their vineyard operations, ensuring a promising future for this boutique winery.
