Madigan Winery

Madigan Winery is located in the beautiful hill country near the Mississippi River. It opened its doors in May 2016.

It was started by Brian Madigan and his partner Karen Swanson, who wanted to create a value-added agricultural product. They initially thought about growing blueberries, but Brian found that grapes grew better in the local soil. After planting his first vineyard with his father, he learned how to make wine on his own.

Since then, the winery has received recognition and won several awards at the Iowa State Fair, including Double Gold for their Blanc Celeste. The couple worked hard to build the winery, funding it mostly through their own efforts and resources.

They want to create a welcoming space for visitors to enjoy their wines and view local art. They have plans to expand and improve the winery experience in the future.

Guests can relax on a scenic picnic deck and explore the scenic Driftless Area, making Madigan Winery a favorite spot for wine lovers and visitors alike.
