La Jota Vineyard Co. is a historic winery located in the Howell Mountain American Viticultural Area (AVA) of Napa Valley, California.
Founded in 1898 by Swiss newspaperman Frederick Hess, the winery has a rich history of producing high-quality wines that reflect the unique terroir of Howell Mountain.
The vineyard's elevation ranges from 1,400 to 2,500 feet, which allows it to rise above the coastal fog. This creates ideal conditions for growing grapes with intense color and flavor.
