La Esperanza Vineyard and Winery

Historic family farm with scenic vineyard views

Best known for: Family-owned vineyard with rich history

La Esperanza Vineyard and Winery, owned by David and Esperanza Gurule, is a family-run establishment that embodies the spirit of hope and aspiration. The winery is situated on land that has been in Esperanza's family since 1906, when her grandfather, Don Antonio De La O, homesteaded the property.

With the blessing of Esperanza's mother, Antonia Orosco, David and Esperanza began cultivating grapes in 1998, involving their three children in the process. The winery is named after Esperanza, which means hope, reflecting the family's commitment to creating magical connections through winemaking and community engagement.

Visitors are encouraged to bring snacks or picnic lunches to enjoy alongside their wines, and the tasting room is open on weekends, providing a welcoming atmosphere for all.
