Klinker Brick
Historic family vineyard with century-old roots
Best known for: Old Vine Zinfandel and Farrah Syrah
Klinker Brick Winery is located in Lodi, California. It’s best known for its Old Vine Zinfandel and Farrah Syrah.
The winery was started by the Felten family, who have a long history of growing grapes in the Lodi region—six generations worth. Originally from Germany and Russia, the family began farming the land in the early 1900s. They initially grew watermelons, but eventually saw the potential for growing grapes.
Over the years, they planted a variety of grapes, including Zinfandel, Tokay, Carignane, and Alicante. They've been focused on producing high-quality fruit for more than a century. The winery has adopted modern vineyard practices, such as drip irrigation, which helps them control grape quality more effectively.
The Felten family continues to honor their heritage while producing distinguished wines. Today, the winery is guided by experienced winemaker Barry Gnekow and winery president Lynne Whyte Barnard.
Klinker Brick Winery welcomes visitors to experience its rich history and taste the depth of its wines.
