Idle Hour - Central Coast Tasting
Historic winery with small-batch, traditional production
Best known for: Single-vineyard designated wines
Idle Hour Winery, established by winemaker Anna Marie dos Remedios, is Oakhurst’s first winery. It is located just outside the south entrance to Yosemite National Park.
The winery specializes in single-varietal, single vineyard designated wines made with minimal intervention, allowing the true expression of the vineyards to shine through. Its offerings include a variety of wines such as Viognier, Pinot Noir, Malbec, and more, all produced in small lots using traditional methods like native yeast fermentation and gravity flow.
The winery's kitchen offers a menu inspired by Mediterranean cuisine, utilizing fresh, local ingredients to complement the wine experience.
Idle Hour Winery also features the Queen’s Inn by the River, providing guests with a unique lodging experience and complimentary wine tastings.
