The vineyard has a rich history, with its original planting of Cabernet Sauvignon dating back to 1973. Current owners Avia and Simon Hawksworth have focused on producing low yields of high-quality wines.
In addition to their Calistoga vineyard, they collaborate with two family-owned hillside vineyards in St. Helena, both dedicated to 100% Cabernet Sauvignon.
Their passion for Riesling led them to a vineyard in Carneros, which they are committed to maintaining.
