Hickory Hollow Wine Cellars / Highland Cellars
Historic family winery with spontaneous fermentation techniques
Best known for: Old world style wines with minimal intervention
Founded in 2002 by Bruce and Suzanne Kendall, Hickory Hollow Wine Cellars is a family-owned winery located in the picturesque Finger Lakes region of New York.
The winery is renowned for its commitment to producing wines in an old world style with minimal intervention.
In 2016, their son Nathan Kendall joined as the winemaker, focusing on varietals such as Riesling, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Cabernet Franc.
Each lot of grapes is meticulously sorted, undergoing long spontaneous fermentations and aging on the gross lees to enhance texture.
The wines are bottled without fining and with gentle filtration, allowing the unique terroirs of their vineyards to shine through.
Visitors can enjoy tastings from Friday to Sunday, experiencing the distinctive flavors that define Hickory Hollow's offerings.
