Heart of the Desert, located in Alamogordo, New Mexico, is a family-owned winery and pistachio farm known for its premium pistachios and award-winning wines.
Established in 1974, it is home to the state's first and largest producing pistachio groves, featuring approximately 13,000 trees.
The winery expanded its offerings to include a variety of wines in 2002, utilizing grapes from seven different varieties, including Chardonnay, Cabernet, and Zinfandel.
Visitors can enjoy wine tastings, farm tours, and a relaxing experience on the Tuscan-inspired patio, making it a popular destination for both locals and tourists.
The farm operates as a self-contained agribusiness, managing the entire process from crop cultivation to product sales on-site.
