Greenwood Ridge Vineyards
A family-owned winery in Mendocino County specializing in small lot wines.
Best known for: Late harvest Riesling and Pinot Noir
Established in 1980 by Allan Green, Greenwood Ridge Vineyards is a small, family-owned winery located in the scenic town of Philo, California, right in the middle of Mendocino County Wine Country.
The winery is best known for its late harvest Riesling and Pinot Noir. It produces fewer than 1500 cases each year, which has helped it build a reputation for crafting award-winning, small lot wines.
Greenwood Ridge has earned recognition as one of America’s top 30 wineries by Wine & Spirits Magazine. The winery has also received multiple accolades at major wine competitions over the years.
In 2016, the winery was purchased by Ken and Diane Wilson. Winemaker Victoria Wilson continues to honor the tradition of working with fruit from Anderson Valley and Mendocino.
The tasting room at Greenwood Ridge is quite unique. Designed by Aaron G. Green, it’s an octagonal space built with wood from a 400-year-old redwood that fell during a storm in 1969.
Since 2006, Greenwood Ridge has been fully solar-powered. They also offer complimentary high-speed charging for electric vehicles, including Teslas and Kias, for visiting customers.
