Forty Cannons Winery

Pirate-inspired small-batch winery on Stillwaters Farm in Henderson, Tennessee, with estate-grown grapes and roses

Best known for: Small-batch wines featuring estate-grown grapes and roses

Forty Cannons Winery brings a pirate theme and small-batch winemaking to Stillwaters Farm in Henderson, Tennessee. Chester County’s first winery takes its nautical identity from the founder’s seafaring ancestry, carrying the theme through bottle names and the Crow’s Nest Tasting Room. The clearest connection to the farm is in two signature wines: The Revenge and The Merry Rose. Both use grapes grown on the property, while The Merry Rose also incorporates homegrown roses. The small vineyard and garden sit beside the tasting room, putting the ingredients close to where visitors taste the finished wines.

This is a farm-winery stop with a playful identity rather than a formal wine-country presentation. The pirate vocabulary extends from the wines to the tasting room, but the grapes and roses give the place something more specific than a theme. Private tastings, shopping visits, grounds tours, and small events are available by advance arrangement at the Oak Grove Lane property.
