Best known for: Handcrafted wines with Georgian heritage
Eristavi Winery, located in San Francisco, is a testament to the rich vinicultural heritage of the Eristavi family, which traces its roots back to the mountainous Republic of Georgia. Known as the cradle of winemaking, Georgia has a history of viniculture dating back to 6,000 B.C.
Master Vintner Victor Eristavi blends traditional Georgian winemaking methods with contemporary practices to produce handcrafted wines that reflect the essence of California's distinct grape varietals.
The winery sources its grapes primarily from the renowned Napa and Sonoma Valleys, ensuring the highest quality through meticulous hand-picking.
Eristavi Winery is celebrated for its unique aging process, utilizing traditional Georgian clay vessels known as Qvevri, as well as French oak barrels, to develop complex flavor profiles in its wines.
