Eisele Vineyard

Historic vineyard with organic and biodynamic practices

Best known for: Exceptional Cabernet Sauvignon and Bordeaux blends

Eisele Vineyard, located in the northern Napa Valley near Calistoga, has been a notable part of California's wine heritage since the 1880s. Originally planted with Zinfandel and Riesling, the vineyard shifted to Cabernet Sauvignon in 1964.

The estate covers 38 acres and benefits from a unique terroir shaped by the surrounding Palisades Mountains and the cool breezes from the Chalk Hill Gap. Its well-drained cobbly soils produce small yields of intensely flavored grapes, which lead to concentrated and complex wines.

Since 1998, Eisele Vineyard has been practicing organic farming, and starting in 2000, it adopted biodynamic methods. These practices help maintain the health of the vineyard and improve the quality of its wines.

The estate also has over five hundred olive trees, continuing a tradition of producing extra-virgin olive oil alongside its wines.
