East Shore Vineyard

Vineyard on Lake Champlain's microclimate with scenic tasting experiences

Best known for: Vermont-grown wines and unique microclimate

East Shore Vineyard is a carefully cultivated 11-acre estate with over 8,250 vines perched on the shores of Lake Champlain. The vineyard benefits from the lake's microclimate, which is ideal for grape growing.

Founded by Bob and Linda Livingstone in 2000, the vineyard faced challenges, including a devastating storm in 2007 that required replanting. Despite these setbacks, East Shore Vineyard has produced award-winning wines since it began selling its own in 2008, focusing on building its Vermont-grown grape varieties.

The vineyard is known for its cold-hardy grape varieties, producing a range of wines including whites like Traminette and La Crescent, and reds such as Cabernet Franc and Marquette. The vineyard also offers a special Vidal ice wine, crafted from Canadian grapes picked at the coldest moment of winter.

The Tasting Room is a vibrant spot for locals and visitors alike, featuring live music on weekends and a welcoming atmosphere.
