Cowhorn Winery
Biodynamic estate with regenerative farming and holistic harmony
Best known for: Biodynamic wines and Rhône varietals
Cowhorn Vineyard & Garden is a biodynamic winery located in the fertile Applegate Valley of southern Oregon, just a few miles north of the California border.
The estate covers 117 acres, where it grows grape varietals traditionally associated with the Rhône River wine region of France. These include Syrah, Grenache, Viognier, Marsanne, and Roussanne.
The winery is known for its commitment to sustainable practices. It employs a low intervention approach to winemaking, allowing the grapes to naturally express their flavors and characteristics.
Cowhorn operates as a polyculture, integrating animals, gardens, and vineyards to create a harmonious ecosystem. With a focus on regenerative agriculture, the winery aims to produce exceptional wines while nurturing the environment.
